278 confirmed cases of swine flu in the UK

32 new cases of swine flu have been confirmed yesterday in the UK, bringing the total number of those affected so far to 278.

Nine new cases were confirmed in England by the Health Protection Agency shortly after Nicola Sturgeon of Scottish Health Secretary announced 23 new cases in Scotland.

Of the 23 new cases in Scotland, 13 are Rangers fans who travelled on a supporters' bus to the league decider against Dundee United. And of the nine cases in England 4 were children from the West Midlands linked to school outbreaks.
