404 confirmed cases of swine flu in the UK

A forth person has been admitted to hospital with a critical case of swine flu in Scotland, as the number of confirmed cases across the entire United Kingdom rises to 404.

In England, 18 new cases were diagnosed with the H1N1 virus on Wednesday 3rd of June, along with 23 new cases in Scotland. This takes the Scottish total to 88.

Of the 35 cases confirmed in England in the past couple of days, 18 cases were from the West Midlands, 4 in the East, 3 in the South West, 8 in the South East, 1 in London and 1 in the Yorkshire and Humberside region. The Health Protection Agency also said there were currently another 297 possible cases of swine flu under investigation.
