2,506 confirmed cases of swine flu in the UK

After a further 245 people being confirmed with the H1N1 virus, the number of UK swine flu cases is now over 2,500.

146 of the newly confirmed cases are in the West Midlands, the worst affected region of England, which now has a total of 1,006 cases of swine flu.

London saw a further 35 cases, 28 people in the South East, 15 in Yorkshire and Humber, 1 person in the North East, 5 in the East Midlands, 2 in the South West and 13 in the East of England.
